Overview

Following the temporary closure of Brockenhurst Post Office, we are delighted to let you know that we will be re-opening the branch on Wednesday 10 June 2020.

This will be in a new location:  Welcome Stores Brockenhurst, 62 Brookley Road, Brockenhurst, SO42 7RA, where it will operate as one of our local model style branches. 

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the new agent, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed.

The branch will continue to offer a wide range of Post Office products and services. Customer satisfaction with local style branches stands at 96 per cent, and nearly 20 per cent of local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.

Due to the impact of the coronavirus the branch will reopen on reduced hours and we hope to increase these in the near future.

The initial opening hours will be Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30 and Saturday 09:00 – 13:00 and we are pleased to advise the new operator intends to extend the opening hours to Monday to Saturday 07:00 – 21:00 and Sunday 08:00 – 21:00 as soon as this is possible.

We have provided posters for display in the Welcome Stores Brockenhurst to let customers know the good news. 

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change such as access arrangements and the internal layout.
