Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location: Portway News & Convenience Store, 337 – 339 Portway, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M22 0EJ, where it will continue to operate as one of our local style branches.

Why are we moving?

The current postmaster has resigned, and the premises will no longer be available for Post Office use. We have therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community. We are pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed to operate the above Post Office from within Portway News & Convenience Store.

The new agent is expanding his business into the premises next door to extend the store. The premises would undergo a full refurbishment to incorporate a convenience store and Woodhouse Park Post Office.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services in a newly refurbished modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with an open-plan position. The same range of Post Office products and services would be available over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with these style of branches stands at 95 per cent.
