Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location - Nisa, 52 Windhill Road, Wakefield, WF1 4DA, where it will continue to operate as one of our local style branches. 

Why are we moving?

As you may be aware, our Postmasters operate Post Office branches alongside their private retail business, and it is important that they make the very best use of their resources to ensure future sustainability of both their business and the Post Office service. In this case, the Postmaster has identified an opportunity to move this branch into their existing retail store nearby. Customers would continue to access Post Office services from a larger, spacious, brighter and modern premises. Our Postmaster firmly believes that the move will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services in a modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with an open-plan position. The same range of Post Office products and services would be available and the opening hours would remain the same. We’d also add a low-screened, modern Post Office till at the retail counter.
