Overview

We are writing to let you know that we are proposing to re-open the above Post Office service at a new location.  

Why are we moving?

 Following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of premises for Post Office use, the above Post Office branch closed on Thursday 21 March 2019. We are therefore, pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed to operate the above Post Office from Whithorn Newsagents, 9 George Street, Whithorn, DG8 8NS where it will operate as one of our new-look local style branches. 

 Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The re-opening of Whithorn Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in local area.

To restore Post Office services as quickly as possible to the local community, your new-look Post Office will open at the new premises on Wednesday 17 July 2019 at 13:00.
