Overview
We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location – Mace Stores, Unit D, 4 Banbridge Road, Waringstown, Craigavon, BT66 7QA, where it will continue to operate as one of our new-look local style branches.
Why are we moving?
Following the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of premises for Post Office use, the above Post Office branch is due to close Friday 6 December 2019 at 17:30. We are therefore, pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed to operate the above Post Office from Mace Stores.
To restore Post Office services as quickly as possible to the local community, your new-look Post Office is scheduled to open at the new premises on Monday 9 December 2019 at 13:00.
Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The relocation of Waringstown Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.
Your new Post Office branch
Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed. The branch will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. The proposed agent also plans to provide disabled parking bays within the car park.
Why your views matter
We’re carrying out a local public consultation and we’d like your views on the proposal. We welcome feedback and comments that can help inform our plans.
What happens next
Thank you for considering our proposal. We will take into account any information and feedback we receive as we finalise our plans for the new branch.
