Following local public engagement, the letter below confirms our final plans for the branch.

Due to operational reasons the new service did not open as previously advised.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the on-going temporary closure.

We are working hard to reinstate the above Post Office service to our customers.

Your new Post Office branch is now planned to open on Tuesday 12 October 2021, at the M11 Local Store, 16 The Broadway, Loughton, IG10 3ST.

In the interim customers may continue to use any Post Office branch for everyday Post Office products and services. Details of possible alternative Post Office branches in the area are provided below for your convenience:

We are delighted to let you know that following the temporary closure of The Broadway Post Office we will be re-opening the branch on Thursday 22 July 2021. This will be in a new location - M11 Local Store, at 16 The Broadway, Loughton, IG10 3ST. 

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed.

The branch will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with local style branches is high, and many local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.

 

 

We have provided posters for display in the M11 Local Store to let customers know the good news. 

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change such as access arrangements and the internal layout.
