We are moving the above Post Office branch to a new location: Premier Stores (Previously known as Ex-Servicemans Club), Ruabon House, South Parade, Tenby, SA70 7DL. 

Why are we moving?

As you may be aware, our Postmasters operate Post Office branches alongside their private retail business, and it is important that they make the very best use of their resources to ensure future sustainability of both their business and the Post Office service. In this case, the Postmaster has identified an opportunity to move this branch into a spacious, brighter and more modern premises. Our Postmaster firmly believes that the move will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business.

The new premises, which is currently empty, will undergo a refurbishment to incorporate a convenience store and Tenby Post Office. We are pleased to let you know that, the current Postmaster will continue to operate this service from these new premises and provide the same wide range of Post Office products and services with longer opening hours. The relocation of Tenby Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services in a modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with one screened and two open-plan positions. The full range of Post Office products and services would be available. We’d also add a low-screened, modern Post Office till at the retail counter offering most Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with these style of branches stands at 95 per cent.

The current Post Office branch is planned to close on Tuesday 24 March 2020 at 17:30 and your new-look Post Office service is scheduled to open at Premier Stores, Ruabon House, on Friday 27 March 2020 at 09:00. If there are any unforeseen schedule changes which mean these dates change, posters will be displayed in branch and the new premises to let customers know.
