Overview

We are moving the above Post Office branch to a new location: Forest View, Station Road, Sway, SO41 6BA, where it will continue to operate as one of our local plus style branches. The new premises which are currently empty will be undergoing a refurbishment to incorporate Sway Post Office and a Stationery and Gifts store.

Why are we moving?

As you may be aware, this branch has been operated on our behalf by a temporary postmaster. Whilst this arrangement has enabled us to maintain access to Post Office services to our customers in the area, we have therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community.

We are pleased to inform you that the temporary postmaster has been appointed to operate Sway Post Office from the above new location.

To maintain Post Office services in the local community, the current Post Office branch is scheduled to close on Thursday 24 March 2022 at 17:00 and this Post Office service is scheduled to open at the new premises on Monday 04 April 2022 at 09:00. If there are any unforeseen schedule changes which mean these dates change, posters will be displayed to let customers know. 

During the transfer of the branch, customers requiring Post Office facilities may use any convenient Post Office service. Details of two alternative Post Office branches are provided below for your convenience:

  • Ferndale Road Post Office, 36-38 Ferndale Road, New Milton, BH25 5EY
  • New Milton Post Office, 75-77 Station Road, New Milton, BH25 6JD

Why your views matter

Whilst the decision has already been made to move Sway Post Office, we would still like your views on access and the service offered at the new location. We welcome feedback and comments that can help inform our plans.
