Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location: Unit 8 Borehamgate Shopping Centre, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2EG.         . 

Why are we moving?

The previous operator WHSmith has resigned and withdrew their premises for Post Office use, therefore this branch closed temporarily on 9 June 2022.

In order to maintain this service to the local community, a temporary Post Office service commenced at Unit 8, Borehamgate Shopping Centre, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2EG on Wednesday 22 June 2022. Whilst this arrangement has enabled us to maintain Post Office services locally, our priority has always been to find a long-term sustainable solution.

I am pleased to confirm that a new postmaster has been appointed who is currently operating the temporary service and intending to provide a permanent Post Office service at the same premises of the current temporary Post Office, subject to consultation.

Your Post Office

Customers would access Post Office services in a newly refurbished modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with one screened and two open-plan position. The same range of Post Office products and services would be available.
