Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location at Quainton Village Store, 6 Church Street, Quainton, Aylesbury, HP22 4AP and change it to one of our new local style branches.

Why are we moving?

As you may be aware, this service has been operated by the postmaster from Waddeson Post Office from hosted premises. We now have the opportunity to incorporate Post Office services into the local village shop. Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term, and we believe that the relocation of this Post Office is the best way forward if we are to secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of the village shop.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed. The branch would offer a wide range of Post Office products and services, over significantly longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with local style branches stands at 96 per cent, and nearly 20 per cent of local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.

Why your views matter

We’re carrying out a local public consultation and we’d like your views on the proposal. We welcome feedback and comments that can help inform our plans.

What happens next

Thank you for considering our proposal. We will take into account any information and feedback we receive as we finalise our plans for the new branch.
