Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location - Pilley Community Shop, Pilley Street, Pilley, Lymington, SO41 5QG.

Why are we moving?

The premises, in which the current branch is located, will no longer be available for Post Office use due to the expiry of the lease later this year. The postmaster has therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community. The proposed premises, which is currently being built, will undergo a full refurbishment to incorporate Pilley Post Office.

Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term and the postmaster firmly believes that the relocation will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services in a newly refurbished modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with one screened and one open-plan position. The same range of Post Office products and services would be available. We’d also add a low-screened, modern Post Office till at the retail counter offering most Post Office products and services, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with these style of branches stands at 95 per cent.
