Overview

We are reopening the above Post Office branch at a new location: Spar, 1 Broad Street, Newent, GL18 1AQ, where it will operate as one of our local style branches.

Why are we moving?

As you may be aware, the previous postmaster resigned and the premises were withdrawn for Post Office use, the branch closed on Saturday 24 December 2022. We have therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community. We are pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed who has identified an alternative location to operate the Post Office service.

The new Post Office is scheduled to open at the new premises on Wednesday 22 March 2023 at 13:00.

Why your views matter

Whilst the decision has already been made to reopen Newent Post Office service, we would still like your views on access and the service offered at the new location. We welcome feedback and comments that can help inform our plans.
