Overview

We are proposing to reopen the above Post Office branch to a new location – Ord Filling Station, Great North Road, Muir Of Ord, IV6 7XR. If the move goes ahead, subject to consultation, it will change to one of our new local style branches.

As you may be aware, in April 2016, we held a period of local public consultation to relocate Muir of Ord Post Office to new premises located at Premier Highland Grocers, Great North Road, Muir of Ord, IV6 7TP. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to relocate the branch.

Following this, the branch closed in December 2016 due to operational reasons. Since the closure we have worked to restore a Post Office service to our customers in the area.  I am therefore pleased to inform you that a new operator has been appointed and has provided us with the opportunity to incorporate the Post Office service into their existing store.
