Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location – Londis, 179-181 Merton Road, London, SW18 5EF.

Why are we moving?

Unfortunately the current premises will no longer be available for Post Office use from March 2019 and the branch will therefore need to close on 20 March 2019. Subject to consultation and appointment of a new operator, we are aiming to relocate the branch as soon as possible to minimise break in service and retain Post Office services in the local community.

During this temporary closure period customers requiring Post Office services may use any convenient Post Office service. Details of two alternative Post Office branches are provided below for your convenience:

• Southfields Post Office, 10-12 Replingham Road, Southfields, London, SW18 5LS
• Wandsworth Post Office, 54/60 Wandsworth High Street, Wandsworth, London, SW18 4LD

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed. The branch will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with local style branches stands at 96 per cent, and nearly 20 per cent of local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.
