Overview

As you may be aware Bethel Post Office is due to close on Saturday 1 February 2020 following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use. In order to maintain Post office services at Bethel we are introducing a permanent Mobile service. The Mobile service will commence on Wednesday 12 February 2020 at 15:15 from Car Park, Memorial Hall, Bethel, Caernarfon, LL55 1YE.

The postmaster from Maesgeirchen Post Office is willing to run this Mobile service, which presents the best possible solution to maintain Post Office services to the local community.

To accommodate the new Mobile service there will be some changes to the current service at Upper Bangor from the week commencing 10 February 2020.

We have provided posters for display in the local area to let customers know the good news. If you are a local representative please share this information with any local groups or organisations that you know within the community, for example on noticeboards, local charities and in GP surgeries, to help our customers and your constituents understand what is happening to the Post Office in Bethel.

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change such as access arrangements and the internal layout.
