Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location: Costcutter Store, 90 Penrhyn Avenue, Maesgeirchen, Bangor, LL57 1LT. 

Why are we proposing this move?

As you may be aware, this branch has been operated on our behalf by a temporary postmaster. We are pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed, who has identified an alternative location to operate Maesgeirchen Post Office, and subject to consultation it would continue to operate as one of our local style branches.

The new premises is located nearby and currently empty. Works would be completed to restore the new premises to incorporate a Costcutter Convenience Store and Maesgeirchen Post Office in a brighter, spacious, and more modern setting.

Our priority is to safeguard our services in the locality in the longer term and the relocation of Maesgeirchen Post Office would enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.

We are pleased to confirm the Mobile services would continue to be operated by the new operator and these services would remain the same.
