Overview

We are delighted to let you know that following the temporary closure of East Taphouse Post Office we will be re-opening the service as a Hosted Outreach on Thursday 03 March 2022 at 13:00. The postmaster at Menheniot Post Office is willing to extend the current Outreach service to also serve the local community of East Taphouse. This new service will be operated in a new location: East Taphouse Community Hall, Salts Meadow, East Taphouse, PL14 4TA.

Your new Post Office Service

Since the closure of the above Post Office we have continued to work to identify a solution to restore services to the local community. We are therefore introducing an Outreach service, which is a tried and tested way of maintaining service to smaller communities.

We have provided posters for display in the new location to let customers know the good news. 

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change that might benefit customers, particularly on access into the premises and its internal layout.

Why your views matter

Whilst the decision has already been made to reopen this service, we would still like your views on access at the new location. We welcome feedback that can help inform our plans and the questionnaire below asks for comments on the following areas:
