Overview

We are proposing to restore Post Office services to our customers in Chwilog, by introducing a Hosted Outreach service which will operate from Chwilog Memorial Hall, Main Road, Chwilog, Pwllheli, LL53 6SH

Why are we moving?

The branch closed temporarily on Wednesday 26 September 2018 due to the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises. We have therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community.

 We are now in a position to restore a Post Office service to our customers in the local community. The Postmaster from Criccieth Post Office has been identified, who will offer a Hosted Outreach service from the above premises.

 In order to restore a Post Office service to our customers in the area as soon as possible, the new Hosted Outreach service will open on Monday 19 November 2018. However, this does not affect the period of public consultation which is ongoing until 18 December 2018. 

 Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The change to a Hosted Outreach service operating inside the Chwilog Memorial Hall, presents the best solution in the area and will also create a more secure service to the local community for the future.
