Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location: Central Convenience, 21 Haven Road, Poole, BH13 7LE, where it would operate as one of our local style branches, subject to consultation.

Why are we proposing this moving?

As you will be aware, our partners and agents operate the Post Office branches alongside their private retail business, and it is important that they make the very best use of their resources to ensure future sustainability of both their business and the Post Office service. In this case, our partner has identified an opportunity to move this branch into their other local premises on the same road nearby.

The new premises has recently undergone a full refurbishment and our retail partner firmly believes that the move will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business, by incorporating Canford Cliffs Post Office within the Central Convenience retail.  

Our priority is to safeguard our services to the local community in the longer term. The relocation of Canford Cliffs Post Office would enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services in a newly refurbished modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. It will be in a dedicated area of the store with an one open-plan position. A similar range of Post Office products and services would be available.
