Overview

We have restored Post Office services to the communities of Luckington and Nettleton on 23 December 2020 with the introduction of a permanent Mobile service.

We’ve worked hard to identify a solution to restore Post Office services at both areas and a Mobile service, which is a travelling Post Office aboard a specifically designed vehicle that brings Post Office services and retail products to communities without relying on fixed premises, is a tried and tested way of maintaining service to smaller communities.

Due to the limited parking in Nettleton, the Mobile van will operate from the closest village at Burton and will be known as Burton Mobile service.

Luckington Mobile service is operated from outside of Old Royal Ship, Luckington, Chippenham, SN14 6PA by the postmaster from Cam Post Office.

Burton Mobile service is operated from outside of the The Old House at Home, The Street, Burton, SN14 7LT by the postmaster from Cam Post Office.

To accommodate these new Mobile services there have been some changes to the opening times at Chipping Sodbury from 23 December 2020. Further details of the change are provided at the letter below.
