We are delighted to let you know that we will be re-locating Bury Post Office service to a new location.

A new Postmaster has been identified to operate the above Hosted Outreach Post Office service, which will operate from inside the old Post Office in the Village Hall, The Street, Bury, Pulborough, RH20 1PA and commence on Friday 1 March 2019 at 13:15. The current Mobile Outreach Post Office service will cease on Thursday 28 February 2019 at 12:00.

Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The relocation of Bury Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed. The branch will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services. 

We have provided posters for display in the Village Hall to let customers know the good news. Please do also share this information with any local groups or organisations that you know within the community, for example on noticeboards, local charities and in GP surgeries, to help our customers and your constituents understand what is happening to the Post Office in Bury.

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change such as access arrangements and the internal layout.
