Following the local public engagement, the poster below confirms our final plans for the branch.

We recently asked your views regarding access in relation to our plans to restore the Post Office service in Brentford. We received 26 responses which mostly welcomed the return of Post Office services to the community and some concerns were raised regarding disabled access. The premises has a wide door with and level access  and some internal adjustments will be made to ensure there is sufficient internal space for Post Office customers, including wheelchair users, to move around the store and reach the Post Office area easily.

We are pleased to let you know that your new branch will be opening on Thursday 16 September 2021 at 13:00. Opening hours will be: Monday –  Sunday 08:00 – 23:00

Overview

We are delighted to let you know that following the temporary closure of  Brentford Post Office we will be re-opening the branch on Thursday 16 September 2021 at 13:00. This will be in a new location - Food Link Store, 204 High Street, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 8AH.   

Your new Post Office branch

Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed.

The branch will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with local style branches is high, and many local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.

We have provided posters for display in the new location to let customers know the good news. 

We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change such as access arrangements and the internal layout.
