Overview

We will be reopening the above Post Office branch on Thursday 26 January 2023  in a new location - Premier Store, 40 Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, DL14 7EG where it will operate as one of our local style branches with a new postmaster.

Why are we moving?

Following the resignation of the postmaster, the branch closed on 21 December 2022. We have therefore had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community.

Our priority is to safeguard our services in the locality in the longer term and the relocation of Bishop Auckland Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers within the local community.
