Overview

We are proposing to move the above Post Office branch to a new location: Premier – Bellshill Convenience Store, 27-29 Hamilton Road, Bellshill, ML4 1AF, where it would continue to operate as one of our main style branches. The proposed premises would undergo a refurbishment to incorporate the convenience store and subject to consultation, Bellshill Post Office.

Why are we proposing this move?

The postmaster’s lease at the current premises is due to expire at the end of April 2022 and they are having difficulty in extending their lease. As the premises will no longer be available for Post Office use and with the postmaster’s wish to resign, we have had to identify an alternative location to continue to offer Post Office services in the Bellshill area.

Our priority is to safeguard our services in the locality in the longer term and the relocation of Bellshill Post Office would enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community. We are therefore pleased to inform you that a new agent has been appointed to operate Bellshill Post Office service.
