Overview

We are delighted to let you know that following the temporary closure of Quernmore Post Office we will be re-opening the service on Tuesday 15 March 2022 at 08:45.  This service will be operated from a new location –Quernmore Recreation Club, Wyresdale Road, Quernmore, Lancaster, LA2 9EF by a new postmaster from Appleby Post Office.

This service will offer a range of Post Office products and services.

Additionally, we will be restoring Post Office Outreach service on Tuesday 15 March 2022 in Glasson Dock at 10:30 and Galgate at 13:30, both services will be located at their previous locations and will be operated by a new postmaster from Appleby Post Office.

We have provided posters for display in the local area to let customers know the good news. 

We are keen to restore services to Quernmore as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change that might benefit customers, particularly on access into the premises and its internal layout.

Whilst the decision has already been made to reopen Quernmore Post Office, we would still like your views on access at the new premises. We welcome feedback that can help inform our plans and the questionnaire below asks for comments on the following areas:
